The Jaguar's Body...

Overall the body on the Jag is in very good condition. Being under the Arizona sun for many years will oxidize any paint job, and this car is no exception.
Looking at this angle you can see the very cool looking body style that has been associated with Jaguar cars for many, many years. This car has a nice straight body with NO rust.
From this angle you can see a few of the things that changed in 1979 when the XJ6 went to Series III. The tail lamps became more sculptured, the door handles are now recessed and the rear of the roof line was completely redone to add more rear headroom. Also in this shot you can see the couple small flaws that the body has. The trunk lid (the boot) has some scratches in it and the lower quarter panel has been taken off to fix a little dent.
The chrome trim appears to be in pretty good condition, as do the grille and bumpers. An interesting point: the front side parking lights on Series III Jaguars is the same as that used on 1970's MG Midgets. I only know this because for a little while I had a 1972 Midget parked right next to the Jaguar (and borrowed one of it's lenses before I sold it).
